Dr Charles Pearman

Dr Charles Pearman is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist who provides comprehensive clinical care for patients with a wide range of heart rhythm conditions. He specialises in the investigation, diagnosis, and long-term management of cardiac arrhythmias, delivering tailored care designed to restore normal heart function and improve overall patient well-being.

In his clinical practice, Dr Pearman offers extensive expertise across advanced electrophysiological procedures and cardiac arrhythmia management. His primary areas of focus include catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as the implantation and management of cardiac devices such as pacemakers, conduction system pacing, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices. Additionally, he possesses specialised knowledge in inherited arrhythmia syndromes, channelopathies, and atrial fibrillation.

Dr Pearman completed his undergraduate medical degree, the MBChB, alongside a Master of Science in Physiology at the University of Liverpool, qualifying in 2005. He subsequently undertook specialist cardiology training and was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship, attaining his PhD in Cellular Cardiac Electrophysiology from The University of Manchester in 2015. He further advanced his clinical expertise through a Clinical Lectureship with the National Institute for Health Research and completed an international fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Inherited Arrhythmia Syndromes at the University of British Columbia. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians.
