Dr Cathryn Chadwick

Dr Cathryn Chadwick is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. With a clinical focus that spans both general and community paediatrics, Dr Chadwick is committed to delivering holistic, family-integrated care. She has a particular clinical interest in neonatal medicine, where she supports newborn health and development, alongside a strong dedication to supporting breastfeeding and promoting family-centred healthcare practices.

Dr Chadwick graduated in medicine from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1987. She initially trained and qualified as a General Practitioner, working in London, the South East, and the Midlands, before transitioning into specialised paediatric care. She completed her postgraduate paediatric training across the East Midlands and Oxford, subsequently being appointed as a Consultant Paediatrician in 2004.

Beyond her direct clinical work, Dr Chadwick is deeply involved in medical education and professional leadership. She served as the Head of School in the East Midlands from 2016 to 2021 and held the prestigious role of Vice President for Training and Assessment at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health from 2021 to 2026. Her leadership in these roles highlights her commitment to shaping the future of paediatric training and ensuring high standards of care for young patients.
