About Dr Basheer Peer Mohamed
Dr Basheer Peer-Mohamed has been a consultant in paediatrics and neonatology at Milton Keynes University Hospital since 2011. He treats a wide range of conditions but has special interests in paediatric neurology and haematology. In addition to his NHS work, Dr Peer-Mohamed also has a private practice at BMI The Saxon Clinic and runs clinics for children who have respiratory conditions, allergies, urinary conditions, and abdominal symptoms. He is a well-respected clinician and has achieved a clinical excellence award for his work.
Dr Peer-Mohamed achieved his MBBS in 2000 from Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University in India, before training in a number of renowned hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital. He is passionate about medical education and continues to deliver paediatric education sessions for other healthcare professionals in the field.
Dr Peer-Mohamed has numerous publications to his name and remains actively involved in research; his current topics of interest are paediatric neurology and haematological disorders. He has also presented at many international conferences such as the European Paediatric Neurology Society Conference, International Headache Society conference and European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases conference. Dr Basheer Peer Mohamed has a lovely manner and put my son at ease straight away. He spent lots of time explaining the next steps and possible outcomes and put all of our minds at ease. I’m thankful we chose him.
We have taken our 14 month old daughter to see Dr Mohamed a few times, including follow ups for ongoing issues. He interacted well with her and helped her to feel at ease. He took time to listen to our concerns and discussed results in detail. He was kind and compassionate and we have been very happy with our visits. We would definitely attend again.

Exceptional pediatrician! He has been wonderful with my kids. He always takes his time to listen to our concerns and explains everything thoroughly and clearly. His bedside manner is excellent, instantly making both parents and children feel completely at ease. We will always choose to see him for our children's care.
We had been to urgent care and GP but weren’t satisfied with the review and diagnosis. We wanted a more thorough approach and Dr Basheer did just that. He recommended the extensive screening we hoped for, after carefully listening to us and examining the patient. The prescribed remedy has relieved the patient a lot while we await test results.
We visited Dr. Basheer for my son and we had a very positive experience. Dr. Basheer was excellent with him, communicated clearly and explained everything in a way that my son could easily understand. He was kind, patient and made my son feel comfortable throughout the appointment.
