Dr Catherine Harrison

Dr Catherine Harrison is an experienced Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to newborns and infants. Specialising in neonatal and perinatal medicine, Dr Harrison works alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver expert treatment for vulnerable infants facing complex medical challenges. Her reassuring and family-centred approach ensures that parents feel supported, informed, and involved in every aspect of their child's care.

Dr Harrison earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BM BS) and subsequently completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H). Her comprehensive postgraduate clinical training was undertaken across the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Australia, conferring a rich global insight into paediatric and neonatal medicine. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and has held prominent leadership roles, including serving as Chair of the Royal College of Paediatrics Speciality Advisory Committee for neonatology.

Her areas of clinical expertise encompass critical aspects of neonatal care, including newborn resuscitation, neonatal ventilation, and specialised infant transfer services. Beyond her direct clinical responsibilities, Dr Harrison is actively engaged in medical education and global child health initiatives, regularly contributing to newborn care training programmes internationally.
