Dr Bharat Paranandi

Dr Bharat Paranandi is an accomplished Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Physician with extensive expertise in digestive health and complex medical conditions. Dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care, he works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise diagnostic assessments and personalised management plans. His compassionate and professional approach ensures that patients feel well-supported and reassured throughout their diagnostic and treatment pathway.

Dr Paranandi has a subspecialist focus in medical pancreaticology and advanced interventional endoscopy. His procedural expertise encompasses diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography, direct cholangioscopy, enteral stenting, and complex ultrasound-guided interventions such as biliary drainage and enteral bypass. Clinically, he manages a wide range of benign and malignant hepato-pancreato-biliary disorders, including acute, chronic, and autoimmune pancreatitis, pancreaticobiliary cancers, biliary stone disease, and Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction.

Dr Paranandi completed his higher specialist gastrointestinal training in North East London and Nottingham. To further refine his procedural and clinical skills, he undertook advanced subspecialty fellowships in hepatology, liver transplantation, and complex interventional endoscopy across major tertiary healthcare centres in Cambridge, London, and Newcastle. He is actively involved in postgraduate medical education, endoscopy training, and clinical research trials. Professionally, he is a core member of the Pancreas Section of the British Society of Gastroenterology, the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, and the Yorkshire School of Endoscopy Training, and serves as Secretary for the UK and Ireland EUS Users Group.
