Dr Avideah Nejad

Dr Avideah Nejad is an accomplished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in maternal and foetal medicine. She provides comprehensive, safe, and high-quality care to women with both routine and complex pregnancies, working closely with mothers and families to offer compassionate, individualised support throughout every stage of pregnancy and childbirth.

Her clinical expertise focuses on high-risk obstetrics, managing medical complications in pregnancy, and advanced diagnostic imaging. Dr Nejad delivers multi-disciplinary care via specialised antenatal clinics and possesses advanced skills in high-risk obstetric ultrasound scanning, first-trimester foetal screening, foetal echocardiography, and invasive prenatal procedures such as amniocentesis. She also maintains a keen interest in labour ward management and obstetric risk management to support safe delivery outcomes.

Dr Nejad completed her initial medical training and earned a Board Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1998. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in Medical Ultrasound from King’s College London, attained her Certificate of Completion of Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007, and later completed a Master of Laws and Master of Science in Medical Law and Ethics from De Montfort University in 2008, alongside executive leadership studies at Harvard University. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, as well as several prestigious professional societies.

Beyond her direct clinical care, Dr Nejad has held major leadership appointments, including Clinical Director for Women’s Health Services, and has contributed to international healthcare strategy initiatives.
