Gus was my physio and did an amazing job. I'm new to the UK so this was my first experience with a London physio. Gus walked me through the process and helped me back to full recovery after a shoulder injury. I'm also a martial artist and Gus was able to tailor much of the physiotherapy and feedback to my goals athletically. So greatful for all of his work. Cannot recommend enough!
I came to see Dr. Augustin Hadonou with a classic case of tennis elbow that had been bothering me for a while. What impressed me most was that he was the only specialist who could accurately reproduce my pain during the examination — which finally gave me confidence that the problem was correctly identified. He prescribed a set of targeted exercises, and within just a few weeks I noticed significant improvement. Now my elbow feels great — no pain, no discomfort whatsoever. Highly recommend Dr. Hadonou!
Highly recommend Gus at Kaizen Physiotherapy! He’s professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his patients. He took the time to understand my issue, carefully explained the treatment and workout recovery plan, and helped me see real improvement. Great experience overall and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing physiotherapy.
I first met Gus in 2022 when he was at Six and we worked together on some shoulder rehabilitation. When I injured my shoulder again last year, I sought him out at Kaizen Physiotherapy. Gus is thorough and methodical and explains which specific muscle each exercise is targeting. He is also a thoroughly nice man. The pain and stiffness are gone but Gus has given me with an ongoing exercise programme to maintain my shoulder health.
Gus was extremely helpful. He was quick, professional and clear in his diagnosis. The explanations of the exercises were easy to understand and very helpful. I highly recommend Gus and the team for any physio-related issues!
Gus is an amazing physio, super knowledgeable and really friendly. Takes time to listen and provide tailored treatment based on how you’re feeling. I felt like I was in great hands and told him my goals and he helped build a program that suits me. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend, Gus focuses on what actually works, and you feel real progress after each session. Highly recommended.
I’ve been attending Kaizen Physiotherapy for both pre-hab and post-op rehab following my ACL reconstructive surgery on 1st September, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the level of care I’ve received. I worked with David before my operation and Gus afterwards, and both have been absolutely exceptional. Prior to the operation, I was seeing David twice a week - his focus on reducing the swelling and reducing muscle waste has made a significant difference to my recovery following the operation. I have been seeing Gus post-op and have been incredibly happy with the pace of recovery thus far. The post-op sessions have been focussed on everything from range of motion, balance, neuromuscular control to functional strength and stability - it is clear that both Gus and David are experts in their field which gives me great comfort knowing I am in top quality care. I would also like to reference one occasion during my recovery, when I was panicking due to a feeling of instability in the knee. Gus responded to my message out of hours and took the time to reassure me with his guidance. This made a huge difference to my peace of mind and is something I greatly appreciated. Their depth of knowledge, professionalism, and genuine dedication to their patients is clear from the very first session. They explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand, tailor exercises perfectly to your stage of recovery, and create an environment where you feel supported and confident. I was recommended Kaizen by my surgeon, and I can now see exactly why. The team here are not only incredibly ...

Gus gave clear instructions as to how each exercise would rebuild the ligament, and how it will help on my journey back to jiu jitsu. The exercises were increasingly more challenging but he made them fun and stressed the importance of building up the knee ligaments to also help with my injury.
Having worked alongside Gus for several years, I can attest to his professional, evidence-based physiotherapy and genuine commitment to achieving outstanding patient outcomes.

At Kaizen Physiotherapy & Performance we make it no secret that our main focus is on ensuring patients are doing active rehabilitation in order to get back to their goals 💪🚴♀️🏋️♂️ We do appreciate, however, that sometimes passive therapies can help to get someone out of pain, aid recovery and get them back into the gym ASAP! Gus & Dave have spent years levelling up their hands on treatment skills and have obtained additional qualifications in: sports massage, joint mobilisations, accupunture / dry needling and ESWT to name a few. If you believe your rehab could be aided by some of these treatment options, or you’re in need of some recovery after a big event… DM us to book a thorough assessment! 📨 #massage #jointpain #shockwave #rehab #kaizen".

Where we would never claim there to be ‘perfect exercises for every individual’, since starting ski screening Gus and I have noticed some very common themes: 1) people hate training their single leg stability 2) people are super weak in lateral movements and hate training these even more (especially Copenhagen’s 🤢🤢) 3) there are lots of stiff ankles out there! Here are just a few ideas to start addressing those common themes to get you ready for ski season ⛷️🎿🚡 If you are interested in an in depth assessment of your current limitations & weakness and would like us to design a programme which is specific to your needs…Drop us a dm #physio #strengh #ski #kaizen #rehab".

If any of you have been around Gus for over 30 seconds in the last few months you will be aware that he was training (and has now successfully completed) a half iron man. In this series we explore some key exercises Gus advises for each of the components of a triathlon…. Starting with swimming!! 🏊♂️🩲👙 1) Supine Shoulder Internal Rotation Internal rotation strength is a key component to an efficient stroke and strength deficits are common in swimmers that don’t focus on these cuff muscles. This exercise can be done as an isometric hold to failure, or as sets and reps. 2) Landmine Press Combine with slight trunk rotation to mimic the Recovery to Catch phase of your freestyle stroke. To focus on power, go lighter and move the landmine quicker 3) Pulldown with Rotation This can also be combined with trunk rotation to mimic the Pull phase. Varying between slow, heavy reps for strength; and lighter, quicker reps for power can help 4) Side Plank with Thread the Needle This exercise helps improve endurance and stability of your shoulder girdle and core muscles. Helping build up your fitness for longer distance swims 5) Skull Crusher Tricep strength is key for finishing off the Pull phase, keeping up your swimming speed 6)Prone Y Raise This exercise strengthens your Lower Trapezius muscles. In turn helping reduce overactivity in the Upper Traps. This can minimise neck pain/stiffness, especially on the longer swims! If you’re looking to recover from an injury and get back to the sport you love, or improve your performance and stay injury free for an event coming up, drop us a DM 📨📨 #physiotherapy #triathlon #training #swimming #swimstrong".
