Explanation

I have been seeing Charlie the Physio for 1 year and 2 months ( we worked it out today!) for knee pain that I got from running. And he is excellent to say the least! I’m sure my circumstances are quite common - 30year old female, runs long distance, did no muscle training and then gets an injury. So I jumped on the get me fixed quick band wagon with a steroid injection and it obviously didn’t help and then I tried a mix of lots of advise from multiple different sources because I was just too busy to see a physio ( this was a mistake). So after 7 months of failed rehab, further deconditing and a decline in my mental health I bit the bullet and went to see a physio , Charlie. Here I am writing this after my last session with Charlie and I dont think I have the words to describe how good he was. His knowledge was not only on knee pain, rehab and strengthening- he looked at me as a person and understood not only the physical impact of my injury but also the mental aspect what I massively underestimated. He was so dedicated to my recovery my faith and trust in him honestly was such a factor in my recovery. I was also at the stage I thought I was never going to run again and his professionalism and calmness and knowledge proved me wrong! Here I am today about to enter my first half marathon for 2 years with a Marathon in mind and I can say so much of this is done to Charlie. What ever the injury I would highly recommend Charlie as your physio!

Charlie have been critical in helping me to recover from a tricky hamstring injury that was prevented me from running properly for 7 months and, quite simply, I wouldn't be back training without his guidance so thank you! He took time to understand my injury and developed a realistic rehab plan that I could fit into my daily life.

Charlie Goodchild is a top class physiotherapist and I am glad to regularly work with him. He has expertly treated many of my patients. He treats both acute injuries and chronic conditions with truly outstanding outcomes. Patients can avoid needing to undergo more invasive procedures or operations and, for those still requiring surgery, will make their rehabilitation go smoothly. He has great rapport with his patients and provides them with the care and attention each needs to make a complete recovery.
