Dr Atif Bashir

Dr Atif Bashir is a highly accomplished Dentist who is dedicated to providing advanced, patient-focused dental care. With a strong emphasis on utilising the latest dental technologies, he is passionate about delivering pain-free and fear-free treatments to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. His clinical approach is characterised by a reassuring and relaxed manner, which is particularly beneficial for nervous patients who may feel anxious about undergoing dental procedures.

Throughout his career, Dr Bashir has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and laser dentistry. He is highly skilled in teeth straightening techniques, including clear invisible aligners, as well as restorative procedures such as crowns, bridges, veneers, and natural-looking dentures. Additionally, he offers specialised treatments for teeth grinding and clenching, including targeted jaw muscle injections, and performs advanced laser-assisted procedures such as laser gum recontouring, crown lengthening, and frenectomies.

Dr Bashir began his academic journey at the University of Strathclyde, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pure Chemistry. He then went on to complete his dental training at the University of Glasgow, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with commendation in 2000. Committed to postgraduate education, he obtained a Master of Science and a Fellowship in Dental Lasers from the University of Genoa in Italy. In 2012, he successfully gained membership into the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr Bashir is also a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), a trained Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner, and has served as the Chairman of the Scottish Dental Practice Owners Group.
