Dr Anthony Norman

Dr Anthony Norman is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Lead who provides high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing digestive health conditions. With extensive experience in managing both acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders, he is dedicated to delivering accurate diagnoses and clear, tailored treatment plans. Dr Norman approaches patient care with professionalism and reassurance, ensuring that patients feel supported and fully informed at every stage of their clinical assessment and management.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of gastroenterological conditions, with special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, dyspepsia management, and upper gastrointestinal physiology. As a skilled diagnostic and interventional endoscopist, Dr Norman routinely performs upper and lower gastrointestinal procedures, including advanced colonic polypectomy. His clinical interests also extend to gastrointestinal pharmacology, focusing on optimal treatments for acid-related disorders and Helicobacter pylori infections.

Dr Norman completed his medical training at St John's College, Oxford, and the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in Hampstead. He subsequently undertook specialist higher gastroenterological training within the Mid-Trent region. In addition to his direct clinical work, Dr Norman is actively involved in medical education, clinical leadership, and academic publishing, having authored textbook chapters and research articles on gastroenterology treatments and clinical referral pathways.
