Dr Anne Pullyblank

Dr Anne Pullyblank is a highly dedicated Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and General Surgeon who delivers compassionate, patient-centred surgical care. She specialises in lower gastrointestinal conditions and emergency surgical care, providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for patients with complex bowel disorders. Dr Pullyblank prioritises open communication and thorough care, ensuring that individuals understand their treatment options and feel fully supported throughout their recovery.

Her core clinical expertise covers the surgical management of bowel cancer, surgical site infections, and general emergency surgical procedures. Dr Pullyblank is skilled in both open abdominal surgery and minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic (keyhole) bowel surgery. Beyond her clinical practice, she is heavily involved in patient safety initiatives and peri-operative quality improvement, leading collaborative projects designed to reduce infection rates and enhance patient care standards.

Dr Pullyblank completed her medical education at the University of London, qualifying in 1990. She subsequently earned a postgraduate Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of London for laboratory-based research and undertook specialist fellowship training at international centres of excellence. She holds Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and maintains active engagement in clinical research and medical education as a Clinical Tutor.
