Dr Ann Kelly

Dr Ann Kelly is a highly accomplished Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant in Paediatric Haemostasis and Thrombosis who provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young adults. Her primary focus is on diagnosing and managing complex paediatric haematological conditions, ensuring that young patients receive individualised care tailored to their growth and developmental needs. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, she supports families through clear communication, helping them understand complex diagnoses and treatment plans with confidence and ease.

In her clinical practice, Dr Kelly possesses extensive expertise across paediatric haematology, with specific focus on haemostasis, thrombosis, and paediatric transfusion medicine. Her areas of clinical interest include the investigation and management of bleeding disorders such as von Willebrand disease, clotting disorders, non-malignant haematology, and laboratory haematology. Dr Kelly is deeply committed to advancing paediatric haemovigilance and transfusion safety, ensuring that every therapeutic intervention is delivered in accordance with the highest clinical standards.

Dr Kelly earned her MA and undergraduate medical degrees (MB BChir) from the University of Cambridge, before going on to complete a doctoral degree (PhD) focused on her specialist field. She holds membership as a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). In addition to her clinical work, she serves as an Affiliated Assistant Professor, contributing to advanced medical education, research, and guidelines in paediatric haematology.
