Dr Andrew Taylor

Dr Andrew Taylor is an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist who provides comprehensive perioperative care and pain management for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. Working closely with surgical teams and dedicated nursing staff, he ensures that patient safety, comfort, and individual care needs are prioritised at every stage of the surgical journey. His clinical scope encompasses adult and paediatric care, covering pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative administration of anaesthesia, and post-operative recovery.

In his clinical practice, Dr Taylor manages anaesthesia across diverse surgical disciplines, including upper gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric procedures, liver surgery, breast and oncoplastic surgery, urology, and both upper and lower limb orthopaedics. He possesses specific clinical expertise in advanced airway management and ultrasound-guided nerve techniques, including continuous nerve catheter placement, to deliver targeted and effective pain relief. In addition to intra-operative care, Dr Taylor regularly conducts thorough evaluations in pre-assessment clinics and provides dedicated management within critical care environments to minimise surgical risks.

Dr Taylor earned his Bachelor of Medicine from Southampton University in 1992, having also completed a Bachelor of Science at Sheffield University in 1998. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2002 and holds an additional postgraduate Master of Science degree. Dr Taylor maintains active professional memberships with key clinical bodies, including the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Association of Anaesthetists, and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine.
