Dr Andrew Loughney

Dr Andrew Loughney is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in women's reproductive health and maternity care. Throughout his clinical career, he has remained dedicated to providing safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and gynaecological consultations. Beyond his direct patient care, Dr Loughney has held key executive governance roles, including positions as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director, in which he has overseen clinical safety, quality assurance, and medical education standards.

Dr Loughney completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North East of England, where he subsequently served as a Consultant Obstetrician. His clinical focus encompasses maternal medicine, high-risk pregnancy management, and general obstetrics and gynaecology. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams of midwives, nurses, and medical specialists, he prioritises patient safety and positive clinical outcomes at every stage of care.

Educationally, Dr Loughney holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cellular and molecular biology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG).
