Dr Andrew Gallagher

Dr Andrew Gallagher is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician and Clinical Director who provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. He focuses on delivering holistic, compassionate, and responsive medical care across all aspects of general paediatric health. Working collaboratively with patients and their families, Dr Gallagher aims to make young patients feel comfortable while thoroughly investigating symptoms and providing clear, effective treatment strategies.

Dr Gallagher completed his medical training at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) in 1988. He holds specialist registration in Paediatrics, reflecting his extensive expertise in child health and senior medical leadership.

In addition to general paediatric care, Dr Gallagher has particular clinical interests in neonatology and paediatric neurology. He has co-authored scientific publications on paediatric neurological subjects, including intracranial pressure monitoring and developmental conditions. Demonstrating his commitment to medical innovation, Dr Gallagher was also part of a small clinical team that received a Medical Futures Innovation Award for co-developing an innovative bedside resuscitation trolley for newborn infants, designed to improve immediate outcomes in neonatal emergency care.
