Dr Andrew Batchelder

Dr Andrew Batchelder is a highly accomplished Consultant Vascular Surgeon who provides expert care for patients with a wide range of circulatory and blood vessel disorders. With a focus on delivering patient-centred, high-quality surgical care, he specialises in both open and minimally invasive endovascular procedures. As a dedicated Vascular Surgeon, Dr Batchelder is committed to improving patient outcomes through precise diagnostics, advanced surgical techniques, and comprehensive clinical management.

His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of vascular surgery, with particular expertise in the management of complex arterial and venous conditions. Dr Batchelder routinely performs advanced procedures such as endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and open surgery for abdominal aortic aneurysms, as well as carotid endarterectomy and carotid artery stenting to prevent stroke. He is also highly skilled in treating peripheral arterial disease, aortoiliac occlusive disease, and lower limb conditions, utilising modern techniques like peripheral angioplasty and stenting. Additionally, he provides expert care for patients suffering from varicose veins and vascular trauma.

Dr Batchelder completed his medical training at the University of Leicester, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with Honours, alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical education and clinical excellence, he also obtained a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) in Medical Education from the same institution. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and holds professional membership as a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd).
