Dr Anastasios Malakasis

Dr Anastasios Malakasis is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in maternal medicine and high-risk obstetrics. Committed to delivering holistic, evidence-based medical care, he provides individualised support to women throughout preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. Dr Malakasis focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring that expectant mothers and their families feel fully informed, supported, and safe.

Dr Malakasis completed his primary medical qualification in Greece before undertaking residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at a major university hospital in Athens. To deepen his understanding of translational medicine, he completed a Master of Science degree focusing on the clinical application of basic science in healthcare. He went on to complete advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in Foetal and Maternal Medicine in the United Kingdom. A committed medical educator, Dr Malakasis serves as an accredited Educational Supervisor for junior medical staff and teaches undergraduate medical students.

In his clinical practice, Dr Malakasis focuses on the management of high-risk pregnancies and maternal medical conditions. His specific areas of clinical expertise include antenatal care, gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, pre-existing medical conditions in pregnancy, foetal monitoring, intrapartum care, Caesarean sections, and the management of birth trauma. Beyond his direct patient care, Dr Malakasis is actively involved in medical research, having served as a Clinical Research Network Lead and acted as a Principal Investigator for national clinical studies focused on maternal and reproductive health.
