Dr Amit Verma is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine who provides expert, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. He offers a patient-centred approach, focusing on early diagnosis, conservative management, and structured rehabilitation to help patients safely return to physical activity and optimal function. Whether managing acute traumatic injuries or chronic overuse pain, Dr Verma delivers comprehensive care tailored to individuals of all physical activity levels, from elite athletes to members of the general public.

In his clinical practice, Dr Verma specialises in diagnosing and managing complex musculoskeletal disorders, joint pain, and soft-tissue injuries. His areas of clinical interest include tendinopathy, ligament sprains, muscle strains, meniscal injuries, osteoarthritis, stress fractures, and core or spine-related sports pain. Beyond physical trauma, Dr Verma addresses exercise-related medical issues such as sports-related concussion, fatigue, underperformance, and exercise-induced breathing difficulties. He utilises diagnostic ultrasound and MRI imaging to guide precision treatment plans, incorporating extracorporeal shockwave therapy alongside image-guided injections, including cortisone, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Dr Verma completed his specialist medical training in the North West of England, gaining clinical experience across community musculoskeletal services, secondary care, and elite sports organisations. He holds Postgraduate Certificates in Diagnostic Ultrasound and Medical Education. Dr Verma is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
