Mr Amit Sinha

Prof Amit Sinha is an Honorary Clinical Professor at the University of Chester and an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 35 years of experience in the field. He graduated with an MBBS with Honours from Ranchi Medical College in India, completed his Master of Surgery (MS) residency in Orthopaedics at Patna University, and undertook extensive higher surgical training across Liverpool, Manchester, Dundee, and the University of Tübingen in Germany.

Prof Sinha holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, including an MCh in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool, fellowship status with the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh, and specialised designation as an AO Trauma Fellow. For over 25 years, he served as a Substantive Consultant within the NHS at Glan Clwyd Hospital (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board), specialising in shoulder, elbow, knee, and trauma surgery.

Prof Sinha currently works within advanced medical education and private medicolegal practice. At Chester Medical School, he teaches undergraduate students and directs the Master of Science (MSc) program in Orthopaedics. He has served as a Surgical Tutor, Regional Advisor for Orthopaedics, and an Examiner for the Royal Colleges, and has held the presidencies of national organisations including the Welsh Orthopaedic Society, the British Indian Orthopaedic Society, and the British International Doctors Association.
