Dr Amir Aziz

Dr Amir Aziz is a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in interventional and structural heart disease. With a patient-centred approach to care, he is dedicated to diagnosing and treating complex heart conditions, helping individuals regain their health and improve their quality of life. Dr Aziz is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan that addresses their unique cardiovascular needs.

His clinical practice focuses on advanced interventional procedures designed to treat coronary and structural heart diseases. Dr Aziz has particular expertise in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for complex coronary artery disease and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for patients with severe aortic stenosis. By utilising minimally invasive techniques, he performs intricate procedures that restore blood flow to the heart and repair heart valves, offering patients safer alternatives to traditional open-heart surgery and promoting faster recovery times.

Dr Aziz completed his comprehensive specialist Cardiology training in the West Midlands, where he was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). To further elevate his clinical skills, he travelled to Canada to undertake advanced fellowship training. He completed a specialised fellowship in complex coronary intervention at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, followed by a structural heart disease and TAVI fellowship at McMaster University. Dr Aziz is a member of several professional bodies, including the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS), and actively participates in clinical research and medical education to remain at the forefront of cardiovascular medicine.
