Dr Amanda Peacock

Dr Amanda Peacock is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes. Dedicated to delivering compassionate and family-centred care, Dr Peacock supports infants, children, and young people experiencing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions. Her clinical practice focuses on guiding families through complex diagnoses with clear communication and reassuring support.

Dr Peacock maintains a strong focus on paediatric growth, hormone health, and metabolic conditions. As a Clinical Lead for paediatric obesity services, she has extensive experience in managing childhood type 2 diabetes, complications of excess weight, and appetite regulation. Her clinical work also encompasses the diagnosis and management of paediatric metabolic bone disorders, providing holistic and tailored treatment plans designed to support long-term health and well-being.

Dr Peacock qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester in 2000. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2004. Her advanced training includes clinical research fellowships in paediatric metabolic bone and child health at renowned tertiary centres in the United Kingdom and Australia, culminating in a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) thesis completed in 2018 on satiety signalling in children and adolescents.
