Dr. Ali Fawzi

Dr Fawzi trained at St George’s University Hospital and completed his registrar training in February 2018 within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery. Since then, he has been a substantive consultant at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, where he has led the respiratory department and served as the departmental lead for asthma, COPD, pleural disease, and interventional respiratory medicine. His expertise encompasses pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and medical thoracoscopy.

Dr Fawzi specialises in all aspects of general respiratory medicine, including the management of conditions such as chronic cough, asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, undiagnosed breathlessness, pulmonary embolism, lung infections, and lung cancer. He is also highly experienced in a range of diagnostic tests, including lung function assessments, sleep studies, radiological imaging, bedside thoracic ultrasound, pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and medical thoracoscopy.
