About Dr Timothy Ho
Dr Timothy Ho is a Consultant Chest Physician at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he has practised since 2004. He specialises in all aspects of respiratory medicine, with particular expertise in pulmonary infection, persistent cough, obstructive sleep apnoea and the investigation of lung cancer.
Dr Ho graduated in medicine with distinction from St George’s, University of London, in 1991. He went on to complete specialist training in respiratory and intensive care medicine across London. During this time, he was awarded a Wellcome Trust Fellowship, leading to a PhD in molecular microbiology from Imperial College London, where he focused on the molecular biology of tuberculosis.
Over the course of his career, Dr Ho has led several regional services, including an adult cystic fibrosis unit, a regional diagnostic service for lung cancer, and a large-scale obstructive sleep apnoea programme. Beyond his clinical work, he has held significant leadership roles and has served as Chief Medical Officer of Frimley Health since 2013.
In recognition of his contributions to the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr Ho was awarded an MBE in 2021. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (2007) and a founding Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (2018).

His clinical assessment, advice, and prescription brought about an immediate improvement in my illness, for which I was exceptionally grateful. I asked him to wave a magic wand and that's what he did. I can highly recommend Dr Ho without reservation!
Dr Ho saw me immediately when I was struggling to breathe and had been coughing non stop for about 9 weeks, causing my airways to swell. My GP had referred me for a spiro test but nothing happened and one morning my son had to call 111 as I could not breathe. In desperation, he arranged for me to see Dr Ho who was professional, reassuring, and obviously expert in his field. I am so grateful to him and his team.
