About Mr Alexander Frick

Mr Alexander Frick MD MRCOG is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with specialist expertise in obstetrics, fetal medicine, and the management of complex and high-risk pregnancies and termination of pregnancy.

He completed his medical degree in the United States and undertook postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology across South London, before completing specialist training in fetal medicine at King’s College Hospital.

Mr Frick has extensive experience in antenatal care, detailed fetal assessment, and the management of complex and high-risk pregnancies, including the care of women during labour and delivery. His clinical practice also encompasses the surgical management of miscarriage in both the first and second trimester, as well as complex pregnancy counselling tailored to individual circumstances.

Since 2019, Mr Frick has been a consultant at St George’s Hospital, where he helped establish one of the UK’s specialist services providing complex termination of pregnancy care up to 24 weeks’ gestation. Alongside his clinical practice, he has held several senior leadership and educational roles within the NHS, including College Tutor, Care Group Lead for Obstetrics, and Associate Director of Medical Education, and remains actively involved in the teaching and training of medical students and postgraduate trainees.

In his private practice at The Portland Hospital, Mr Frick offers comprehensive obstetric and fetal medicine services, surgical management of miscarriage and termination of pregnancy, early pregnancy care, contraception, and continuity of care throughout pregnancy, with an emphasis on clear communication, clinical excellence, and compassionate support.
