Dr Aled Picton

Dr Aled Picton is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people. With a strong commitment to delivering reassuring and child-centred care, he diagnoses and manages a broad range of general paediatric health conditions. His clinical practice focuses on ensuring that young patients receive individualised care tailored to their developmental needs, while offering supportive guidance to their families.

In addition to general paediatric medicine, Dr Picton has a clinical interest in paediatric allergy and emergency paediatric care. His sub-speciality focus includes evaluating and treating common childhood allergic conditions such as food allergies, asthma, eczema, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, and anaphylaxis. Working within acute and outpatient settings, he emphasises clear communication, careful diagnostic assessment, and evidence-based treatment strategies to help manage long-term health and wellness in children.

Dr Picton completed his undergraduate medical training at Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry, qualifying in 2013. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical training and research, he subsequently earned a Master of Clinical Education (MClinEd). Throughout his career, Dr Picton has held academic positions as an Academic Clinical Fellow and Clinical Lecturer, actively contributing to undergraduate medical education, curriculum development, and clinical research.
