Dr Aisleen Bennett

Dr Aisleen Bennett is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Paediatric Immunology. With a deep commitment to child health, she provides expert care for children experiencing a wide range of complex, rare, or persistent infections. Her clinical practice focuses on delivering reassuring, patient-centred care to families, ensuring that young patients receive the most effective and appropriate treatments for their conditions.

Throughout her career, Dr Bennett has developed a particular interest in tropical paediatrics, the epidemiology of childhood infections, and vaccine effectiveness. She has conducted extensive research into rotavirus transmission and vaccine outcomes, contributing valuable insights to global child health. Additionally, she is a strong advocate for antimicrobial stewardship, working to optimise antibiotic use in paediatric and neonatal care to prevent resistance and improve patient outcomes.

Dr Bennett completed her undergraduate medical training at St George's Hospital Medical School, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005. She has since obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTMH), a Master of Research (MRes), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on paediatric infectious diseases. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and maintains active involvement in medical education, helping to train the next generation of Paediatricians.
