Áine Loi

Áine Loi is a registered occupational therapist and nutritionist at Nightingale Hospital, with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with eating disorders and mental health challenges. She specialises in working with young people and adults affected by conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating disorder, OSFED, body dysmorphic disorder, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, psychosexual difficulties, self-harm, stress, interpersonal difficulties, and dual diagnosis.

Áine takes a holistic, client-centred approach that considers each individual’s unique experiences and values. Her work focuses on supporting patients to rebuild healthy routines, improve functional skills, and regain confidence in their daily lives. She integrates therapeutic strategies that promote emotional regulation and overall wellbeing, with the goal of supporting long-term recovery and meaningful engagement in life beyond treatment.

In addition to individual work, Áine offers skills-based support to families, partners and carers. This includes psychoeducation and practical tools for managing eating disorders in everyday environments, helping to create a supportive and informed home dynamic during the recovery process.

Áine holds a BSc in Occupational Therapy and an MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT). Her professional background spans the NHS, private healthcare, and charitable services, reflecting a deep commitment to accessible, high-quality care.
