Dr Aimee Lawson

Dr Aimee Lawson is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures. Combining advanced technical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach, Dr Lawson delivers clear, accurate diagnostic reporting to support clinical teams and guide appropriate patient management. Her practice encompasses a wide range of diagnostic modalities, ensuring patients receive thorough and reassuring care throughout their diagnostic journey.

Dr Lawson earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) alongside a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) from Nottingham Medical School in 2009. She initially completed surgical training with a focus on neurosurgery, during which time she completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Neuroimaging for Research. She subsequently entered higher specialist radiology training through the Leeds/Bradford scheme and completed her training as a Consultant Radiologist in 2023. Her professional qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), and the European Diploma in Neuroradiology (EDiNR).

Building upon her background in neurosurgery and clinical radiology, Dr Lawson has developed specialised expertise in Neuroradiology as well as Head and Neck Radiology. Her diagnostic practice involves interpreting complex magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and plain X-ray studies. In addition to diagnostic reporting, she routinely performs targeted image-guided procedures, such as ultrasound-guided aspirations and core biopsies of neck structures, including lymph nodes, salivary glands, and the thyroid gland. She also offers therapeutic pain management procedures, including transforaminal spinal epidural injections and sacroiliac joint injections.

Dr Lawson collaborates closely with multi-disciplinary medical teams to ensure timely interpretations and precise clinical guidance. Her commitment to maintaining high standards in minimally invasive procedures and radiological analysis helps patients navigate their diagnostic pathways with confidence.
