Dr Adam Jones

Dr Adam Jones is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery for both benign and malignant urological conditions. He has extensive expertise in general uro-oncology, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and kidney disorders. Dr Jones pioneered robotic surgical techniques in his region, introducing advanced robotic technology to enhance surgical precision, minimise recovery times, and optimise patient outcomes.

In his clinical practice, Dr Jones offers a comprehensive range of modern diagnostic and therapeutic treatments tailored to individual patient needs. His expertise in prostate care encompasses multi-parametric MRI (mpMRI) diagnostics, mpMRI fusion-targeted prostate biopsies, real-time live-mapping prostate brachytherapy, and nerve-sparing Da Vinci robotic radical prostatectomy. He also performs Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) for benign prostatic enlargement, laparoscopic nephrectomies, partial nephrectomies, pyeloplasty, circumcision, and vasectomies. In addition, Dr Jones routinely manages voiding difficulties, lower urinary tract symptoms, and infective or inflammatory bladder conditions.

Dr Jones graduated from Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1991, earning the prestigious Broderip Scholarship as the top undergraduate student. He holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Cell Pathology with Basic Medical Science and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of London in 2000. He completed higher surgical training and his Specialist Registrar rotation in Urology in the Oxford region. During his training, he was awarded a Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his research into the blood supply and disruption mechanisms of bladder cancers. He gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1995 and sub-specialised Fellowship in Urology FRCS (Urol) in 2001. Dr Jones is appointed to the Court of Examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and serves as a faculty member for the European Robotic Urology Symposium, helping to train the next generation of robotic surgeons.
