I don’t visit in person but held 2 x zoom calls. The Drs were really professional and kind and the experience, although emotional, was a good one.
I've already provided a review for the clinic itself in general - but wanted to ensure I could provide a review for the ADOC practitioner as well. But in short - very impressed. Knowledgeable, able to put our daughter at ease and picked up on high masking traits (with examples given). Very thorough and the whole process made what could be a stressful process as positive as it can be. It was worth travelling down from Cheshire to London and I have Doctify reviews to thank for helping me make an informed decision on who would be best for our daughter.
I would like to thank everyone who dealt with us earlier this week. Dr Karlikova and Ifi (Ifigeneia Mourelatou) were brilliant. (I didn't see Ifi as I spoke with Dr Karlikova then, but my husband said she was lovely and Camille said she actually really enjoyed the session!) I was so impressed with how at ease Dr Karlikova made our 8 year old daughter feel. (Well, as at ease as she can be given the fact she struggles to explain herself !) She had such a great manner - friendly, warm, curious and non-judgemental. The way she told Camille she had autism was really well-framed too. And Camille said she really liked her and wants to be a psychiatrist like her when she grows up so she can help people - so she made quite the impression! We also loved how empathetic Dr Karlikova was to us as parents. We felt listened to and understood (finally). I appreciated knowing the outcome before leaving and how she gave examples to explain our daughter's diagnosis - especially the one which showed how she was able to mask an answer in the ADOC assessment that to the untrained eye seemed reasonable but it was based on logic, not emotion from the question itself. And the parts of the interview that in her experience pointed to high functioning autism, especially re how she spoke about her emotions. Believe me, you spend so long second-guessing yourself when you suspect that your daughter has autism - especially when well-meaning teachers and friends try to reassure she seems fine, especially as she's intelligent and doing well at school. It felt validating to hear we're not crazy. No...
Read moreDr Karlikova and her colleague were friendly and professional throughout. I would especially like to thank Dr Karlikova for the kindness and care she showed to my daughter throughout the assessment and when discussing her diagnosis. I came away feeling listened to and well informed. Thank you.
Although my consultation was online at not at a location, therefore difficult to assume quality of site.
We saw Dr Marlow for a paediatric ADHD diagnosis. It was relatively quick to get an appointment for this and Dr Marlow was friendly, engaging and thorough in his assessment. He has subsequently helped us start our son on both melatonin and later ADHD medication. The latter was also an effective and efficient experience in which we have also had help from their pharmacist, Mr Kwok. After a few months of medication titration the team are now facilitating us starting a shared care agreement with our GP. All in all our experience has been positive and has filled a gap where NHS services are severely lacking to the benefit of our son's mental and physical wellbeing and education.
The experience was great. As a parent I felt supported and well informed throughout the process and the team were extremely welcoming and patient with my daughter
We have had one face to face appointment at the clinic and we only have positive things to share. Dr Chan has been incredibly helpful and frankly her intervention has changed our lives. All the remaining staff has been great too!
