I was experiencing very bad pain with the rotator cuff in my shoulder. Mr Charlie Talbot was recommended to me by my physio. He was superb, with his friendly manner, keeping me fully informed of progress and options, and finally, and most importantly, treating and solving the the problem.

Mr Vollans explained what the problem was with my wrist and what my options were for treatment. He listened and answered my questions. I was really pleased with the results of the injection as the pain has gone.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Mr. Davies for a consultation regarding my mother's shoulder issue. From the moment we met Mr. Davies, it was clear that he is a highly professional and personable. He conducted a thorough examination of my mother's shoulder, Mr. Davies took the time to explain the diagnosis in detail, ensuring we understood the nature of the problem. He presented several treatment options, outlining the pros and cons of each, which helped us make an informed decision. Mr. Davies carried out an initial treatment during our visit. Mr. Davies demonstrated a high level of professionalism and was very pleasant to communicate with. We are very satisfied with the care provided and would highly recommend him.

Extremely nice in listening and helpful with my problem

I first met Professor Brownson 4 years ago with extremely debilitating pain in both shoulders. MRI scans showed multiple pathologies, with surgery more than likely to be the best outcome. I was very reluctant to go down the surgical route for many reasons, so Professor Brownson has seen me on an open clinic basis many times over these 4 years. He has used various treatment options along with referring me for nerve blocks. His empathy, understanding, engagement and knowledge is above and beyond, plus the treatments I have received (particularly the Ostenil Plus injections and Suprascapular Nerve blocks) have been life changing for me pain wise. I know surgery may be the only option in the future, but I am so grateful that Professor Brownson has gone down an alternative route for me, without me feeling pressured into surgery in any way. I have had some negative experiences in the past with Orthopaedics, but I can say that my trust has been restored with Professor Brownson. Therefore I am very disappointed to learn that he is retiring next month. He has, however, assured me I will be well looked after by one of his colleagues. I would also like to mention Claire and Betty who have made me so welcome and helped me so much in the Bone and Joint Centre. Wishing Professor Brownson a long and happy retirement!
