My examination was conducted professionally. The examination was extensive to meet the requirement for a supported diagnosis to be made. Various options for ongoing treatment were given, with the pros and cons explained clearly. A way forward has been agreed which meets my requirements.

From the beginning and throughout my journey Mr Asimakopolous has shown exceptional care. He has thoroughly explained the condition, the approach to surgery and treatment and provided support answering many many questions. His manner is friendly, approachable and compassionate and he always has time to make sure I feel confident and relaxed about what is happening. I feel enormously fortunate to have had such a clearly wonderful medical professional looking after me at a pretty scary time in my life.

In the past, I’ve felt anxious when going to doctors and concerned that I might not be taken seriously. Thankfully this experience was the opposite, Iain took time to explain every step of the way and clearly laid out my options in a way that felt empowering for myself!

I had never met Mr Shayah before. I was greated by him in the waiting area with a polite introduction and handshake. Once in the consulting room he listened carefully and patiently to me trying to explain my history and symptoms. Never interrupted and then carried out various tests on me. He reassured me about my condition explaining all aspects of it having asserted that I was most likely suffering from vestibular migraine. He gave me dietry advice and explained the purpose of the medication he was prescribing for me. A further appointment was made for 3 months hence. I felt very comfortable and not in the least bit pressured during my lengthy appointment and I came away, not cured but much reassured and confident that Mr Shayah would be doing all that he could for me. Very good "bedside manner".
