He undertook a Rhinology/Facial Plastics fellowship at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham under Professor Nick Jones and Anshul Sama. He has also been on travelling fellowships visiting Rhinology/Facial Plastics surgeons in Portland-USA, Amsterdam and Zurich.

I had half my thyroid removed on the 1st November 2025 at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. I cannot praise Mr. Dhanasekar enough. The operation went smoothly and l recovered quickly. Every time l saw Mr, Dhanasekar he was kind, professional and patiently listened to my questions. From my first meeting with Mr. Dhanasekar l had full confidence in him. Very Realistic doctor. I had undergone the Rhino-Septoplasty procedure and multiple times Mr Ganapathy Dhanasekar made everything clear to me - Ensuing pain post-surgery, not to expect my nose to fully straight, alongside other things. Despite these warnings, the procedure was successful and I experienced very little bruising, issues, or pain. I can also confirm my septum is straight and nose is very straight and aligned on my face. Thank you.
