Every appointment at KIMS was great, all the staff are so friendly & attentive. On the day of surgery, I was looked after so well. Especially those keeping me chatting whilst I was having the anaesthesia ☺️

I went to Genesis for my radiotherapy for breast cancer and was looked after so well from the reception satff to the radiotherapy team. I was offered wellbeing support and exercise therapy too and had the worry of the journey taken away by being offered a driver. Such total care making something that could be potentially be harrowing into a very pleasant experience.

Good - no complaints

As I walked into the hospital I noticed how open it was and so clean. I didn’t have to wait at reception and greeted by a smart and friendly receptionist. She was courteous and polite as she informed me where to go. The waiting area again, very clean. I was called in to have BP taken and went through the consent form. I was extremely anxious and the attending nurse was extremely helpful and explained the procedure I was due to have. I wish I had her name as she was very kind and helped to calm me down. She was both professional and had a reassuring smile. I went to the doctors office and spoke to Mr Eddy, who explained what was to take place and why. He also spoke about post procedure and some things that might occur following it. Mr Eddy spoke in terms that I could understand and gave me the opportunity to ask questions at the end. During the procedure I had another nurse attending Mr Eddy and she was brilliant. She was friendly, caring and very professional. During the procedure I experienced some pain and she held my hand to comfort and reassure me. Throughout the whole experience I felt that I had been taken care of by Mr Eddy and his two attending nurses extremely well and my problem had been dealt with completely. *****+ All round

Right from my initial contact to enquire about a consultation to my admission for a surgical procedure everybody was very professional and efficient yet at the same time remaining friendly, reassuring and approachable. Everything was always explained and then happened exactly as I was told it would. I felt that I mattered!
