Dr Paul Rebgetz

Dr Paul Rebgetz is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in reconstructive surgery of the lower limb. With a patient-centred approach, he provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions affecting the hip, knee, foot, and ankle. Dr Rebgetz is dedicated to helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life through both non-surgical rehabilitation and advanced surgical interventions. His clinical focus encompasses joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and complex trauma reconstruction.

Dr Rebgetz began his medical journey by earning a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2002, which provided him with a foundational understanding of physical rehabilitation and sports injuries. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Griffith University in 2009. Following his medical training, he undertook specialist Orthopaedic Surgery training in Western Australia and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and holds specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

To further refine his surgical skills, Dr Rebgetz completed multiple highly specialised post-fellowship training programmes both nationally and internationally. His sub-specialist training included dedicated fellowships focusing on robotic-assisted hip and knee arthroplasty, revision joint replacements, and complex lower limb trauma. He also travelled to Scotland to complete an overseas fellowship in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery, alongside advanced training in foot and ankle procedures, including minimally invasive osteotomies and total ankle replacements. This extensive training allows him to utilise cutting-edge techniques, such as robotic surgery, to deliver precise and tailored outcomes for his patients.
