Mr Benjamin Witte

Mr Benjamin Witte is a senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over two decades of specialist experience in lower limb reconstruction and trauma. After graduating from the University of Tasmania and completing his orthopaedic training in Western Australia in 2001, he pursued elite sub-specialty training to refine his surgical techniques. He subsequently undertook fellowship training at the Mater Hospital in Sydney, focusing on sports knee surgery and knee arthroplasty, before completing a further mini-fellowship in hip arthroplasty, expanding his expertise in complex joint reconstruction and replacement.

Throughout his career, Mr Witte has held significant leadership positions, including serving as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Fremantle Hospital for two years. His clinical practice is characterised by a high volume of sports-related knee interventions and complex joint replacements. Having spent more than a decade practising in both the public and private sectors, he has developed extensive experience in ACL reconstruction and knee replacement surgery, combining technical precision with an evidence-based approach to restore mobility and function for patients with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. 

In addition to his clinical work, he is a respected authority in the legal-medical field. Through OrthoLegal, he prepares independent medico-legal reports for use in legal proceedings, drawing on his extensive orthopaedic expertise and many years of clinical experience to provide thorough, objective, and evidence-based assessments.
