Dr Ingra Bringmann

Dr. Ingra Bringmann is a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in the comprehensive management of obesity and general surgical conditions. She performs abdominal procedures (appendisectomy, gallbladder surgery & colorectal resection), hernia repair and keyhole surgery. 

In the last 5 years she has been trained to assess eligability and provide access to Voluntaty Assisted Dying.  

She is eager to address sustainability in healthcare through different aveues.

Bariatrics, focuses on the treatment of overweight and obese individuals through a combination of dietary, behavioural, and lifestyle interventions, alongside medical or surgical options when appropriate. Her expertise encompasses both non-surgical approaches to weight management, providing patients with tailored care plans designed to promote sustainable, long-term health improvements.

In addition to her expertise on bariatric surgery, Dr. Bringmann has experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery, managing complex conditions of the stomach and oesophagus with precision and care.
