Dr Alberto Pinzon Charry

Dr Alberto Pinzon Charry is a highly qualified Paediatrician specialising as a Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist. He is dedicated to diagnosing, managing, and treating infants, children, and adolescents with complex allergies and immune system disorders. With extensive medical experience, Dr Pinzon Charry provides expert, family-focused care to help young patients manage their conditions and lead healthy, active lives. He works collaboratively with other medical specialists and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive, co-ordinated care for every child.

In his clinical practice, Dr Pinzon Charry focuses on a wide range of allergic diseases and immunological conditions. His areas of expertise include food allergies and intolerances, eczema, insect and drug allergies, anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and asthma. He also specialises in managing skin and immune conditions such as urticaria, angioedema, and hereditary angioedema, as well as inherited and acquired immunodeficiency diseases. Dr Pinzon Charry completed his Medical Doctorate at the National University of Colombia in 1999. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from the University of Queensland in 2005, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. He completed his advanced training in paediatric allergy and immunology at leading children's hospitals, achieving fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016.
