After spending many years at the public children’s hospital, I was pretty shocked at how post surgery went. Everyone was lovely and there are no complaints about the staff. But in our case we had a child fasting from the night before and the only food option available for her ice-cream and jelly, when she asked for real food we were told to take her home to feed her. Sorry but that’s not good enough, or we should have been told to bring food, but considering this is a private hospital I expected more. The children’s hospital has food available for kids post surgery. Some people live hours drive away. I’m not sure if it is because she was gluten free or if this is standard, but it should be communicated to parents better. Staff where amazing though.
My 3yo daughter had a procedure. I can not speak more highly of all the staff. From the doctors, intake nurses to the recovery nurses, all the staff were professional, friendly and went above to make the experience positive and non traumatic. I can’t thank everyone enough.
