Dr Kunal Thacker

Dr. Kunal Thacker is a paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist currently practising at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) in Sydney, Australia. With extensive training and experience in both gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Thacker specialises in addressing a wide range of gastrointestinal issues affecting children from birth through adolescence.

Dr. Thacker completed his advanced training in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Children’s Hospital Westmead and furthered his expertise with a stint at Sickkids Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Prior to joining CHW, he served as a senior consultant at Perth Children’s Hospital (formerly Princess Margaret Hospital for Children) in Western Australia.

As an accredited practitioner recognised by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Australia, Dr. Thacker is proficient in performing advanced endoscopic procedures such as Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy for children of all ages. His clinical interests span various conditions including:
