Dr. Wendy Reid

Prof. Wendy Reid is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a career spanning over four decades in clinical practice, medical education, and national healthcare leadership. She graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London in 1981, and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1989, followed by Fellowship in 1999.

Throughout her career, Prof. Reid has held several senior appointments, including Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London. 

Prof. Reid served as Executive Medical Director and Director of Education and Quality at Health Education England, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the national medical education agenda. She was also elected Vice President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, contributing to clinical standards and professional development across the specialty.

Currently, Prof. Reid is Chair of Manx Care, the health and social care body for the Isle of Man, where she continues her commitment to patient-centred leadership and high-quality care. She also holds an honorary professorship at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
