Dr Vimal Grover

Dr Vimal Grover is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Anaesthesia. They studied at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2000. Dr Grover undertook the majority of their postgraduate training in North West London. Dr Grover is dual-accredited in both Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia.

Dr Grover has conducted translational research in critically ill patients and gained an MD (res) degree from Imperial College London. Their research focused on using immunological diagnostic biomarkers from bronchoscopically-acquired samples to rapidly diagnose Ventilator-associated pneumonia in intensive care. This work was sponsored by the National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia. Dr Grover has published original articles, letters and reviews and has presented their work nationally and internationally.

Dr Grover is passionate about medical education and contributes to teaching at Imperial College London. They co-founded a course for junior anaesthetists. In addition, they are the Trust lead for sepsis, supporting efforts to raise awareness of the condition, prevent, recognise and treat it earlier. They are also implementing a Trust-wide project to detect and treat acute kidney injury.
