Dr. Usman Maqsood is an accomplished Consultant Respiratory Physician, specialising in both general and respiratory medicine. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Lahore in 2003 and completed his specialist training in the UK, obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) while working at prominent hospitals in the West Midlands. His dedication to expanding his skill set led him to undertake a fellowship in interventional pulmonology at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

His professional prowess encompasses a wide spectrum of general respiratory medicine, covering issues like cough, breathlessness, asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, respiratory infections including Tuberculosis, and obstructive sleep apnea. His expertise also extends to performing various essential procedures such as focused thoracic ultrasound, bronchoscopy, endo-bronchial ultrasound (EBUS), pleural aspiration (both diagnostic and therapeutic), indwelling pleural catheter (IPC) insertion, and intercostal chest drain procedures.

In addition, he is GMC recognised educational supervisor for trainees in general and respiratory medicine and palys a pivotal role in evaluating and certifying the competence of aspiring physicians as an examiner of Royal College of Physicians.

Further solidifying his influence in the medical community, Dr. Maqsood is an associate for the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK.
