Dr Thomas Pembroke

Dr Thomas Pembroke is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Consultant Hepatologist who delivers comprehensive, high-quality care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver health conditions. Known for his reassuring and patient-focused approach, he is dedicated to providing thorough diagnostic evaluations and individualised treatment plans. Dr Pembroke works closely with each patient to ensure clear communication, guiding them through every stage of their assessment and management.

Dr Pembroke earned his primary medical qualification, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), before undertaking extensive postgraduate training in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He holds a PhD from a leading UK university, where his doctoral research investigated the immunology of chronic viral liver infections. To deepen his clinical skills, he completed sub-specialty hepatology training at a renowned London liver centre, followed by an international clinical fellowship at a prestigious university health centre in Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).

Within clinical practice, Dr Pembroke treats a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders. His specific clinical interests include the management of advanced liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, portal hypertension, and liver care within critical care environments. He also provides specialist assessment for patients with abnormal liver blood tests, metabolic liver conditions, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and alcohol-related liver conditions.
