Dr Tarini Chetty

Dr Tarini Chetty is a highly skilled Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred medical care, she supports children, adolescents, and their families through every stage of growth and development. Dr Chetty understands that medical visits can be daunting for young patients, and she takes pride in creating a reassuring, welcoming environment that puts children at ease while providing expert clinical management.

In her clinical practice, Dr Chetty manages a broad range of general paediatric conditions, growth variations, and complex hormonal disorders. She possesses particular expertise in the clinical management of childhood type 1 diabetes, utilising modern tools such as continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy. Her sub-speciality interests include tailored exercise management for young people with diabetes, disorders of sex development, Turner syndrome, and paediatric fertility preservation.

Dr Chetty earned her primary medical degree (MBBS) before completing extensive postgraduate clinical training in general paediatrics and paediatric endocrinology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine research degree from Newcastle University, where her doctoral research investigated exercise strategies and hypoglycaemia prevention in young people with type 1 diabetes. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and remains actively involved in clinical research, medical education, and multidisciplinary patient care.
