Dr. Suraiya Dubash

Dr. Suraiya Dubash is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist who specialises in the care and management of patients diagnosed with thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer, thymoma, and thymic cancers. She is dedicated to providing personalised, patient-centred care, ensuring that each individual receives a tailored treatment plan aligned with the latest clinical evidence and advancements in cancer care.

Her clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive range of non-surgical cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biological or targeted therapies. As a specialist in precision radiation therapy, Dr. Dubash possesses expertise in advanced treatment techniques such as stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH). She has particular clinical interest in utilising stereotactic techniques to treat primary lung tumours as well as oligometastatic disease arising from various tumour sites.

Dr. Dubash earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with distinction from St. Bartholomew's and The Royal London School of Medicine in 2002, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Neuroscience in 1999. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2006, obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2011, and was awarded her Certificate of Completion of Training in Clinical Oncology in 2013. Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence and innovation, she completed a PhD in Clinical Cancer Imaging at Imperial College London in 2018, focusing on functional imaging, biomarkers, and artificial intelligence in oncology. Her professional memberships include the Royal College of Radiologists, the Royal College of Physicians, the British Thoracic Oncology Group, the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, the British Medical Association, and the Medical Defence Union.
