Mr Stephen Alexander Milner

Mr Stephen Alexander Milner is a highly regarded Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery. With a clinical practice dedicated to addressing complex lower limb conditions, he provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of injuries and elective orthopaedic issues. His clinical focus encompasses the treatment of complex foot and ankle injuries, ankle arthritis, and lower limb deformities. He is dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, utilising advanced surgical techniques to restore mobility and alleviate pain for his patients.

In his clinical practice, Mr Milner offers a variety of specialised treatments tailored to individual patient needs. He has particular expertise in performing primary and revision ankle replacements, as well as primary hip and knee replacements. Additionally, he is highly skilled in the management of complex fractures and limb deformities using advanced circular frame fixators, such as Ilizarov and Taylor Spatial Frames. His commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in his focus on achieving optimal functional outcomes, helping patients return to their daily activities with confidence.

Mr Milner obtained his medical degree, MB ChB with Honours, from the University of Sheffield in 1990. He completed his basic surgical training and was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1995. Following this, he undertook extensive research into the long-term effects of tibial fractures, culminating in a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) degree in 2002. He completed his specialist orthopaedic training and passed his FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam in 2002, subsequently completing a prestigious senior orthopaedic fellowship in New Zealand. Mr Milner is an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
