About Miss Sophie Jones
Dr Sophie Jones is a highly skilled and experienced ophthalmic surgeon who specialises in cornea, cataract and trauma surgery at King's Private - The Guthrie Wing.
She has an interest in external eye disease, visual rehabilitation, collagen cross-linking and outcomes following lamellar corneal transplantation.
She earned her medical degree in 2000 from the University of Wales before completing fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and King's College. She then undertook higher specialist training with the London Deanery and went on to complete research at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, the Institute of child health and the Institute of ophthalmology leading to an MD in 2011.
Additionally, she is a founding member of the British Emergency Eye Care Society.
