Dr Siobhan Muthiah

Dr Siobhan Muthiah is an accomplished Consultant Dermatologist who provides patient-centred care across a wide range of dermatological conditions. Focused on clinical excellence, Dr Muthiah delivers thorough and compassionate care tailored to each patient's specific health needs. Her practice encompasses general skin health evaluation alongside specialist assessment and management for patients with complex skin conditions.

Dr Muthiah possesses a major clinical interest in skin cancer detection, management, and research, with a particular focus on melanoma. She utilises advanced dermoscopy to carefully evaluate skin lesions and monitor changes in moles. Additionally, Dr Muthiah specialises in the digital triage of both melanocytic and non-melanocytic skin lesions, helping to streamline diagnostic processes and ensure prompt, appropriate interventions for her patients.

Dr Muthiah earned her medical degree from Newcastle University in 2010 before undertaking higher specialist training in Dermatology across the North East region. She gained entry to the Specialist Register in 2018. Demonstrating a dedicated commitment to medical research, Dr Muthiah was subsequently awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from Newcastle University for her doctoral thesis investigating genetic analysis in melanoma predisposition and mosaic conditions.
