Dr Simon Pirie

Dr Simon Pirie is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people. With a focus on patient-centred clinical practice, Dr Pirie supports families through a wide spectrum of childhood health conditions, ranging from general paediatric illness to specialised neonatal care. His objective is to deliver reassuring, high-quality care tailored to the individual health needs of every young patient.

Dr Pirie completed his medical education at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) in 2000. He subsequently undertook Senior House Officer training in London before completing a Senior Fellowship in Neonatology in Perth, Australia. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME).

Dr Pirie possesses extensive clinical expertise in general paediatrics and specialist neonatal care. His clinical practice encompasses inpatient neonatal care alongside paediatric and neonatal outpatient consultations. In addition to his direct clinical responsibilities, Dr Pirie maintains a strong commitment to medical education and clinical simulation training. He actively serves as an instructor for Newborn Life Support (NLS) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) courses, helping to train healthcare professionals in essential emergency care procedures.
